Deepwater Hydraulic Chop Saw

The ROVSCO Chop Saw offers an effective and efficient method for remote underwater cutting. The ROV operator maneuvers the saw to position the work piece in the clamp and then closes the chop saw clamp. The piece is held tightly relative to the cutting disk of the chop saw. Hydraulic flow is turned on to the saw’s motor which causes the blade to rotate. The viscous drag on the rotating disk introduces tension on the drive chain which lifts the blade into the cut. The disc cuts the object with the correct and constant force throughout the operation.

Simple rate-controlled manipulators hold the chop saw to accomplish efficient and flawless cutting.
